Keratoconus treatment

Keratoconus treatment

Keratoconus is a progressive condition that changes the shape of the cornea and distorts vision; treatment depends on severity and progression.

We begin with a detailed evaluation to determine the severity of keratoconus and the most suitable option. This includes vision tests, corneal topography, pachymetry and a review of general eye health.

Surgical options include corneal cross-linking, which strengthens the corneal structure to prevent further thinning, and corneal transplants, either partial (lamellar) or full-thickness (penetrating).

Post-operative care and regular follow-up are key to a proper recovery and to minimizing complications.

Important: This information is general and does not replace a medical evaluation. Book an appointment to learn which option is right for you.
